Fire Alarm Testing
Mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will take place from March 1, 2010 to March 5, 2010 in the following buildings:
- 10 - Lewis P. Ross Building
- 12 - Max Lowenthal Building
- 14 - Hugh L. Carey Building
- 70 & 74 - CAST Building
- 75 - Center of Bioscience Education & Technology
- 76 - Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science
- 77 - Bausch and Lomb Center
- 82 - CAST Engineering Technology
- 86 - Modular Office Building
- 88 - Annex III
- 89 - Crossroads
- 125 - Boat House
- 960 - Backflow House
The exact time each building will be tested cannot be determined, except that it will be during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Occupants of the areas may hear a brief audible alarm during the test, but there is no need to evacuate the buildings. However, if the alarm sounds for an extended period (approximately one (1) minute), evacuation is suggested for safety reasons.
