Fire Alarm Testing
Mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will take place from August 23, 2010 to August 27, 2010 in the following buildings:
- 05 - Wallace Library
- 06 - Liberal Arts Building
- 09 - James E. Gleason Building
- 25 - Grace Watson Dining Hall
- 55 - Hettie Shumway Dining Hall
- 60 - Lyndon B. Johnson Building
- 87 – ASB
The exact time each building will be tested cannot be determined, except that it will be during normal working hours (8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.). Occupants of the areas may hear a brief audible alarm during the test, but there is no need to evacuate the buildings. However, if the alarm sounds for an extended period (approximately one (1) minute), evacuation is suggested for safety reasons.
