Fire Alarm Testing
Mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will take place from August 18, 2008 to August 22, 2008 in the following buildings:
- 05 - Wallace Library
- 06 - Liberal Arts Building
- 07A - James E. Booth Building
- 07B - Frank E. Gannett Building
- 08 - Gosnell Building
- 09 - James E. Gleason Building
- 10 - Lewis P. Ross Building
- 12 - Max Lowenthal Building
- 14 - Hugh L. Carey Building
- 18 - Link Building
- 25 - Grace Watson Dining Hall
- 55 - Hettie Shumway Dining Hall
- 60 - Lyndon B. Johnson Building
- 70 - CAST Building
- 71 - Kiln and Casting Shop
- 72 - Glass Shop
- 73 - Blacksmith Shop
- 74 - Laboratory for Applied Computing
- 76 - Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science
- 77 - Bausch and Lomb Visitor Center
- 80 - Red Barn
- 86 - Modular Office Building
- 88 - Annex III
- 89 - Crossroads
- 125 - Boathouse
- 960 - Back-flow House
The exact time each building will be tested cannot be determined, except that it will be during normal working hours (8:00am-4:30pm). Occupants of the areas may hear a brief audible alarm during the test, but there is no need to evacuate the buildings. However, if the alarm sounds for an extended period (approximately one (1) minute), evacuation is suggested for safety reasons.
