Fire Alarm Testing
Mandated testing of the fire alarm systems will take place from December 24, 2007 to January 4, 2008 in the following buildings:
- 01 - George Eastman
- 02 - Frank Ritter Ice Arena
- 03 - George H. Clark Gymnasium
- 04 - Student Alumni Union
- 05 - Wallace Library
- 06 - Liberal Arts Building
- 07A - James E. Booth Building
- 07B - Frank E. Gannett Building
- 08 - Gosnell Building
- 09 - James E. Gleason Building
- 13 - Modular Office
- 15 - Campus Connections Bookstore
- 16 - Schmitt Interfaith Center
- 17 - Center for Microelectronic and Computer Engineering
- 23 - Hale-Andrews Student Life Center
- 23A - August Center
- 24 - Field House
- 25 - Grace Watson Dining Hall
- 55 - Hettie L. Shumway Dining Hall
- 60 - Lyndon Baines Johnson Building
- 71 - Kiln and Casting Shop
- 72 - Glass Shop
- 73 - Blacksmith Shop
- 75 - Center of Bioscience Education & Technology
- 78 - Center for Integrated Manufacturing Studies
- 93 - Bursar House (654 John Street)
- 95 - Flammable Storage Building
- 96 - Vehicle Repair Garage
- 99 - Facilities Management Building
The exact time each building will be tested cannot be determined, except that it will be during normal working hours (8:00am-4:30pm). Occupants of the areas may hear a brief audible alarm during the test, but there is no need to evacuate the buildings. However, if the alarm sounds for an extended period (approximately one (1) minute), evacuation is suggested for safety reasons.
