Riverknoll "Global Village" Replacement Project I
The replacement of Riverknoll commenced with demolition of the Riverknoll buildings. The new plan calls for a mixed-use courtyard near Crossroads and the Administrative Services Building/Innovation Center and residential buildings to the west. The commercial space around the courtyard will include a convenience shop, restaurant/bar, expanded Crossroads dining space, bank, Hub Print Center, West Side Mail Facility and Fitness center. There will be flexible meetings spaces to support the entrepreneurial and global missions of RIT and apartments and suites above. West of the courtyard, three-story residential buildings will complete the complex. Site and utility work is underway on site this summer, and Fall Quarter will see foundations and steel erection in process. Completion of Phase I of the Global Village is scheduled for Fall Quarter 2010.
