Robert DeSanctis
FMS Engineering
The FMS Engineering staff is responsible for maintaining the mechanical systems that heat, cool and ventilate the campus buildings. They are involved in a continuous process of equipment improvement and replacement, several thousand pieces of equipment to maintain their reliability and operating efficiency. The HVAC/R Technicians also modify and install systems to meet the changing needs of the RIT community, perform preventive maintenance and respond to comfort related requests from staff and students.
HVAC/R Technicians are available to assist the campus community 24 hours per day, every day of the year. During the evening and night shifts, they also respond to elevator malfunctions, fire alarms, water leaks, power outages and other emergencies.
If you experience a heating, ventilation or cooling problem, you can report it to the FMS Operations Center at 475-6771. An HVAC/R Technician will be assigned to investigate the problem. Requests for service can also be submitted on-line at http://facilities.rit.edu or sent via e-mail to fms@rit.edu. After 5 pm on weekends, all services requests should be directed to Campus Safety at 475-2853.
For all other HVAC/R questions or concerns contact Robert DeSanctis, the HVAC/R Manager, at 475-5261 or email radppa@rit.edu
