Building Maintenance

The Building Maintenance staff is responsible for maintaining all interior and exterior building components.
These responsibilities include:
- interior and exterior lighting
- electrical, plumbing and natural gas service
- walls, floors, and ceilings
- doors, locks, and hardware keys for all door-mounted locking devices
- interior and exterior signage
- fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and fire hydrants
- painting and carpet replacement
- building exteriors (roofs, windows and brick)
To request service you can call the FMS Operations Center at 475-6771. Requests can also be submitted on-line at http://facilities.rit.edu or sent via e-mail to fms@rit.edu.
